I was super tired today but I cleaned and mopped all morning anyway… I’d been putting it off for days. I’m sure some of you know that moment when you’ve finished up your mom chores and are thinking- wow I can sit down for a minute and drink the tea I made 3 hours ago. No, you can’t. Within the 3 mins that it took me to type a line of an email my toddler tossed an entire bottle of glitter all over. Actually that’s an understatement. It was embedded throughout his long golden hair. Completely covering my freshly vacuumed rug and newly mopped floor. He had it all over his arms, legs and face. It was totally uncool and he’s still sprinkling a trail of fairy dust even after 2 baths.
Needless to say I slightly recovered after lunch and things were pretty quiet around the house. Mostly because I put on Toy story, handed over a bowl of pretzel goldfish and walked into the other room. Parent of the year. I figured I may as well make an Easter treat. I should use these peaceful moments to my advantage, right? Who knows what I’ll find when I go back into the living room. Maybe I’ll just hide in kitchen until bedtime? Easter treat chocolate cookie cups with buttercream icing!
I just made little cookie dough balls and pushed a little indent into the top with my finger. That helped the Peeps sit upright on the top. My cousin made this in a cake form for a birthday party, it was awesome. I asked her for the recipe and made a few changes. Thanks cousin Jen and Happy Easter to all!
When I first saw these cupcakes, I knew I had to take a moment to say how beautiful they are! There’s so much detail in them… it’s like a work of art!
